GEN2 Global Launch and WDS2022 Round-up

Launch of the Aardvark GEN2 AMCS

The Aardvark Team is back on home soil following the global launch of the Aardvark GEN2 AMCS at a very successful WDS in Riyadh.

We are very proud of Aardvark’s technical advancements in the field of multi-mission capable, unmanned ground vehicles and we could not have asked for a more positive reception from the WDS visitors.

Aardvark’s Chief Designer – Land Systems, James Knox stated, “GEN2 is Aardvark’s most versatile and effective vehicle to date, delivering superior performance whether de-mining and removing the remnants of war in post-conflict situations, providing mobility support or C-EOD operations, regardless of the operational environment.”

Technical Director, Stuart St John-Claire added, “GEN2 builds upon Aardvark’s exceptional history of manufacturing combat engineering vehicles that place operator safety, vehicle survivability and reliability at the heart of the design.”

The World Defense Show 2022

The International Defence and Security community was promised the greatest show ever for our sector, and the #wds2022 sincerely delivered.

65,000+ visitors, 1,500+ Delegations, 600 + Exhibitors, 85 + Nations, 2 Royal visits, and 1 State visit of a foreign dignitary.

The facilities were superb, the energy in the show was high, and Riyadh was a wonderful host city.

The Aardvark Group Team was immensely proud to be a part of the AlRamly Company Showcase. The vision, commitment, and generosity of our hosts was evident in the innovative and exciting showcase of Defence and Security talent.

The success of WDS2022 speaks volumes for both the hard work and effort of the show’s organising team and the vision and ambition that General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI) has for the Kingdom.

The vast delegation of UK dignitaries unified in the Kingdom to show UK government support to industry and to amplify a clear message that the UK views its relationship with Saudi Arabia as an enduring strategic partnership and one which we all celebrate.

Team Aardvark looks forward to returning for WDS2024

Zamil Group Partnership

The UK Defence and Security community presented a strong and unified presence at the World Defense Show.

With a high level of cross-sector engagement from both Primes and the SMEs, the diversity of the organisations present was testament to the breadth of UK capability and our collective desire to strengthen our enduring partnership with the Kingdom as they strive towards delivering their #vision2030.

The many MOUs and deals signed during the show, encompassing partnerships, JV’s, localisation, and industrialisation were the deserved reward for the investment made by Team UK.

The Aardvark Group is therefore delighted to announce the superb news of the signing of an industrial collaboration with Saudi Arabian based industrial conglomerate WAHAJ.

The scope of the collaboration is for The Aardvark Group to provide extensive technical design and knowledge, and for Wahaj to access the vast engineering and manufacturing experience and facilities across the Zamil Group Holding Company, with the intention of delivering the design, manufacture and commercialisation of a broad range of technologies both for the domestic Saudi Arabian market and for export.

Both parties share the same values; an innovative culture, and a common desire to deliver effective capabilities to the Kingdom in support of #vision2030.
