4th April is the International Day for Mine Awareness and Assistance in Mine Action.
Every day, someone is killed or injured by landmines, long after wars are over.
26,000 people per year/over 70 people a day are killed. That is one every 15 minutes.
Although there is still much to be done, today we highlight the progress achieved towards a world free from the threat of landmines and UXO.
Aardvark has supplied machines for mine clearance in over 25 countries and like many organisations, continues to strive for a landmine-free world.
